Assistant lecturer. Mohammad Sabah Rasheed at the Information Technology Center participated in the membership of the ministerial committee concerned with the potential risks of the fall of the Mosul Dam. The committee presented many solutions that reduce the risks of flooding associated with the fall of the Mosul Dam, if it occurs, examples of that risk permanent effects on buildings, Mold growth, metal corrosion, moisture problems, erosion, destabilizing walls, and warped floors. Items and contents, such as furniture, cabinets, computers, files, books, food, and equipment, can also be damaged by floodwaters. Many risks can occur due to flooding: such as power outages, leakage of hazardous materials such as gas, food contamination, mold spread and other contaminants that can grow in buildings and their contents and thus lead to outbreaks of infectious diseases.

Five elements necessary for a flood preparedness plan in every university such as adopting a strong communication plan, safety plan for students and staff, protecting property, protecting equipment and finally adopting a unified emergency line.
